YouCan gives you two options if you need to stop your store from being publicly accessible: temporarily deactivate it (maintenance mode) or permanently delete it. Both options are found under Settings > General > Deletion & Deactivation.

Temporarily Deactivate Your Store
Use this option if you want to make your store unavailable to customers for a short period - for example, while updating products or preparing a relaunch.
- Go to Deletion & Deactivation.
- Click Close your store temporarily.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
Your store will immediately show a maintenance page to visitors instead of your storefront.
Note: As the store owner, you can still preview your store during maintenance mode using a private access code shown on the same page.
Reactivating Your Store
- Log in to your dashboard.
- Go to Deletion & Deactivation.
- Click Activate Store.
Your store will be publicly accessible again immediately.
Permanently Delete Your Store
This action is irreversible. Once confirmed by the support team, all your store data will be permanently removed.
- Go to Deletion & Deactivation.
- Click Delete Your Store.
- Select the reason for deletion.
- Click Save and confirm when prompted.
Your deletion request is sent to the YouCan support team. They will contact you to confirm before permanently deleting your store.
