Manage your personal seller account information, notification preferences, and language settings in YouCan.
Accessing Account Settings
- Navigate to https://accounts.youcan.shop
- Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner
- Select Account Settings
- Or go to https://seller-area.youcan.shop/admin and click Settings > Account Settings
Personal Information
Profile Details
- First Name - Your given name
- Last Name - Your family name

Phone Number - Your contact phone
- Include country code for international numbers
- Used for account verification and support

Profile Picture - Upload a photo
- Shows in your seller profile
- Recommended size: 200x200 pixels
- Accepts JPG, PNG, or GIF formats
Display Name

Public Display Name - How your name appears to customers
- Can differ from legal name
- Appears on order confirmations
- Visible in customer communications
- Example: "Sarah's Boutique" instead of "Sarah Johnson"
Email Settings
Primary Email

Email Address - Your main account email
- Used for login and notifications
- Must be valid and verified
- Click Verify if not yet verified
Email Verification
- If your email is not verified:
- Click Send Verification Email
- Check your inbox for verification link
- Click the link to complete verification
- This ensures you have access to account recovery
Alternative Email (Optional)

Secondary Email - Add a backup email address
- Used for account recovery
- Receives important notifications
- Helpful for shared accounts
Password Management
Change Password
- Current Password - Enter your existing password

New Password - Create a strong new password
- Minimum 8 characters
- Include uppercase and lowercase letters
- Include at least one number and special character
- Confirm New Password - Repeat the new password
- Click Update Password
Password Security
- Your password is encrypted and never shared
- Change password if you suspect unauthorized access
- Use unique passwords for your YouCan account
- Never share your password with anyone
Notification Preferences
Email Notifications
Choose which emails you want to receive:
- Order Notifications - Alerts when customers place orders
- Shipping Updates - Notifications about order fulfillment
- Customer Messages - When customers contact you
- System Updates - Important YouCan platform announcements
- Marketing Emails - Promotional emails from YouCan
- Weekly Digest - Summary email of store activity
- Daily Report - Daily sales and traffic summary
Toggle each notification on or off based on preference.

Email Frequency - Choose how often to receive emails:
- Real-time (immediately)
- Daily digest
- Weekly summary
- Monthly report
Notification Channels
- Email Notifications - Receive alerts via email
- SMS Notifications - Receive text message alerts (where available)
- In-App Notifications - See alerts in your dashboard
Language and Localization
Dashboard Language

Interface Language - Choose language for your seller dashboard
- Options: English, Arabic, French, Spanish, etc.
- Affects menus, buttons, and help text
- Changes apply immediately
Customer Communication Language
- Email Language - Language for customer emails you send
- Invoice Language - Language for order invoices
- Receipt Language - Language for purchase receipts
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Enable 2FA
Enhance your account security with two-factor authentication:
- Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Choose authentication method:
- Authenticator App - Use Google Authenticator or Authy
- SMS Text Message - Receive codes via text
- Follow setup instructions
- Save backup codes in a secure location
- Click Confirm and Enable
Using 2FA
- When you log in, enter username and password
- You'll be prompted for a verification code
- Enter the code from your authenticator app or text
- You'll be logged in
Backup Codes
- Save your backup codes immediately
- Keep them in a safe place (not your computer)
- Use these if you lose access to your authenticator
- Each code can only be used once
Login Activity
View Login History
- Navigate to Login Activity section
- See recent login attempts with:
- Date and time
- Device type
- Location/IP address
- Success or failure status
Active Sessions
- View devices currently logged into your account
- Sign Out Other Sessions - Log out from other devices
- Sign Out All - Force logout from all devices
- Useful if you suspect unauthorized access
Privacy and Data
Data Download
- Download My Data - Request a copy of your account data
- Includes all personal information and activity
- File will be emailed to you
- Takes 24-48 hours to prepare
Account Deletion
- Delete Account - Permanently delete your account
- This action cannot be undone
- All store data will be deleted
- Must have no pending orders or payments
- Contact support if you need assistance
Billing and Subscription
Current Plan
- Active Plan - Shows your current subscription tier
- Plan Features - Lists included features
- Renewal Date - When your plan renews
Billing Email
- Billing Email Address - Where invoices are sent
- Can be different from your login email
- Update if you change business email
Connected Apps and Integrations
Authorized Applications
- View apps that have access to your account
- See what permissions each app has
- Revoke Access - Remove app authorization
- Click to see detailed app permissions
Saving Your Changes
- Review all changes made
- Click Save Changes to apply settings
- You'll see a confirmation message
- Some changes require account re-verification
