How to Import and Export Themes

Back up your theme customizations, transfer them between stores, or install a custom theme from a zip file.

New Themes: Export

For new themes (Chameleon, Origins, Harmony, Meraki, Chameleon Fashion, etc.), you can export a theme as a zip file from the Themes page:

1. Go to Store > Themes
2. Find the theme you want to export in My Installed Themes
3. Click the "..." menu next to the theme
4. Click Export
5. A zip file is downloaded to your computer

The exported file contains all your theme customizations and can be re-uploaded to the same or a different store.

New Themes: Import (Upload Zip File)

To install a new theme or restore an exported theme:

1. Go to Store > Themes
2. Click Upload zip file
3. Select a valid theme .zip file from your computer
4. The theme is added to your installed themes list
5. Activate or customize it from there

YouCan (old) Theme: Export

For the YouCan (old) theme, export is managed from the classic settings page:

1. Go to Store > Theme (not "Themes")
2. Click Export at the bottom right of the page
3. A settings file is downloaded to your computer

The export includes your font selections, color settings, and section configurations.

YouCan (old) Theme: Import

To restore previously exported settings or apply settings from another store:

1. Go to Store > Theme
2. Click Import at the bottom right of the page
3. Select your previously exported file
4. The settings are applied immediately

Always export your current theme as a backup before importing a new file.

Transfer a Theme Between Stores

To use the same theme design across multiple stores:

1. Export the theme from your first store (using the appropriate method above)
2. Log into your second store
3. Upload or import the file using the appropriate method above
4. Activate and review the theme in the second store
