How to Manage Active Devices and Sessions
Monitor the devices and sessions connected to your YouCan account. You can see where you're signed in and revoke access from unfamiliar devices.
View Active Devices and Sessions
To see all devices currently signed into your account:
- Go to accounts.youcan.shop/security
- Scroll to the Devices section
- You'll see a list of all active sessions
Device Information Displayed
For each active device, YouCan shows:
Browser and Operating System
- Example: "Chrome on macOS" or "Safari on iOS"
- Helps you identify which device it is
Current Badge
- A "Current" label marks the device you're using right now
Last Activity
- Timestamp showing when the device last accessed your account
- Displayed in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time)
- Use this to spot suspicious activity
Geographic Location
- Approximate location where the session originated
- Based on IP address geolocation
IP Address
- The internet address of the device
Logout Button
- A per-device "Logout" button allows you to end that session remotely
- Useful if you've used a public computer or lost a device
Manage Your Sessions
Revoke Access from a Device
If you see a device you don't recognize or no longer use:
- Go to accounts.youcan.shop/security
- Find the device in the Devices section
- Click the Logout button for that device
- The session will be terminated immediately
- That device will be signed out of your YouCan account
Sign Out of the Current Device
To sign out of the device you're currently using:
- Look for the device marked with the "Current" badge
- Click its Logout button, or simply use the logout option in your profile menu
- You'll be signed out and returned to the login page
Best Practices
- Review regularly: Check your active devices periodically, especially if your password has been shared or if you've used a public computer
- Sign out unused devices: If you see old devices or sessions you no longer use, log them out
- Enable 2FA: Add an extra layer of security with Two-Factor Authentication
- Keep passwords secure: Don't share your password with others
- Use unique passwords: Avoid reusing passwords across different platforms
Security Tips
If you notice:
- A device from an unfamiliar location
- A device you don't recognize
- Unusual login times
Act immediately:
- Click Logout on the suspicious device
- Change your password
- Enable 2FA if you haven't already
- Contact YouCan support if you suspect account compromise
