How to Add a New Product

Add products to your store to start selling. Each product includes details like name, price, images, and inventory settings.

Access Product Creation

  1. Log in to your seller area
  2. Navigate to Products
  3. Click the Add a product button or New Product option
  4. The product creation form opens

Product Name and Description

  1. Enter a clear, descriptive Product Name
  2. Use keywords customers would search for
  3. Keep it concise but informative

  4. Examples: "Premium Leather Wallet - RFID Protected", "Organic Cotton T-Shirt"

  5. Write a captivating Product Description

  6. Highlight key features and benefits
  7. Include dimensions, materials, or specifications
  8. Use bullet points for readability
  9. Explain what makes your product unique

Set Product Price

  1. Enter your Price (the selling price)
  2. This is what customers pay

  3. Required field

  4. (Optional) Enter Compare at Price

  5. Shows your original price before discount
  6. Displays as a strikethrough on your storefront
  7. Creates a sense of value when on sale
  8. Example: Compare at $50.00, Now $35.00

Add Product Images

  1. Click the Upload Images or Add Images section
  2. Upload multiple high-quality images (recommended)
  3. Image requirements:
  4. Maximum size: 800x800 pixels recommended
  5. Formats: JPG, PNG
  6. Show product from multiple angles

  7. Include lifestyle photos when possible

  8. Drag to reorder images (first image is the primary thumbnail)

  9. Delete images by clicking the remove button

Configure Product Variants (Optional)

If your product comes in different options:

  1. Enable the Variants toggle
  2. Add variant options (e.g., Size, Color, Material)
  3. For "Size", you might add: S, M, L, XL
  4. For "Color", you might add: Red, Blue, Black

Each variant can have: - Its own price - Its own inventory count - Its own image

Assign to Category

  1. Click the Category dropdown
  2. Select the category for this product
  3. You can select only one category

Important: Your store's homepage will appear empty if the selected category has no products. Ensure the category contains at least one product before it displays on your homepage.

Set Product Visibility

  1. Check the Visibility checkbox or toggle
  2. Enable "Online store" to make the product visible to customers
  3. Unchecked products are hidden from your storefront

Additional Settings

Review any additional fields: - SKU (optional product identifier) - Weight (for shipping calculations) - Collections or tags - SEO settings

Save Your Product

  1. Review all product information
  2. Click the Save or Publish button
  3. The product is added to your store
  4. You can edit the product at any time

Direct Access

Add products directly at: seller-area.youcan.shop/admin/products/create?approved=1
