Upsell offers are a powerful way to increase your average order value by suggesting complementary or upgraded products to customers. Learn how to create and configure upsell campaigns in YouCan.
What is an Upsell?
An upsell is a promotional technique where you suggest a higher-value product or complementary item to a customer. YouCan allows you to set up automatic upsell offers that appear to customers during checkout or on product pages based on conditions you define.
Creating a New Upsell
- Go to https://seller-area.youcan.shop/admin and navigate to the Upsell section from the left menu
- Click the Add an upsell button
- Fill in the upsell campaign details:
- Campaign Name - Give your upsell offer a descriptive name (e.g., "Buy Premium Headphones Bundle")
- Description - Add optional details about the upsell campaign
- Status - Set to Active or Draft
Selecting Products for Upsell
Primary Product Selection
- Click Select Products to choose which product(s) will trigger the upsell
- Search for products by name or SKU
- You can select one or multiple products
- Selected products will appear when customers add them to their cart
Upsell Product Selection
- In the Upsell Products section, click Add Products
- Choose the product(s) you want to suggest as an upsell
- You can add multiple upsell products to one campaign
- The system will suggest these products when the trigger product is purchased
Setting Discount Terms
Configure the discount structure for your upsell:
- Discount Type - Choose between percentage discount or fixed amount discount
- Discount Value - Enter the discount percentage or amount
- Minimum Order Value - Set a minimum cart value required for the upsell to appear (optional)
- Maximum Uses - Limit how many times this upsell can be used (optional)
Publishing Your Upsell
- Review all settings
- Click Save to save as Draft
- Click Publish to make the upsell active on your store
Managing Your Upsells
From the Upsell list page, you can edit, delete, view performance metrics, or toggle campaigns active/inactive.
